Process Start White List defines who is permitted to start the process. By default, everyone can start the process. But when configured, only those found in the mapping will be allowed to do so.

One can too map a participant according to department (s) or head of department(s). When new activities that are mapped to the department (s) or head of department (s) are created, the user(s) that are under the said department (s) or the head of the department (s) will be assigned as assignee(s).
