How much data can Environment Variable holds?

I'm thinking of writing some beanshell scripting and put it in a Environment Variable so that I can reuse the script in many places.

I wonder if anyone knows how much text can I put into a Environment Variable.

      yes of course with answer walter, this default type data for generate table from joget is text, and means 64 k char, this table and type data can be change for alternatif use...

        It is stored in one of the database table. The default db column for the value in MySQL is TEXT, which means 64k chars.
