How can I search for a record by ID from a form, and create a new record if it don't exist ?

Hello everybody,
I'm new to joget, and I'm using the Community edition.
I created a client form where I add clients, and I want from another form to lookup for a client by ID and retrieve his informations, and if he don't already exist, give the possibility to create a new one.
Could you please give me some advices or ideas on how I can do it ?

      Hello you can use value duplicate validator on field properties, heres the example.

        Thank you for the answer. But is there a way to retrieve records information based on the value of a field to populate the other fields ??
