Anyone knows the difference between Protected App and Protected Readonly App?

I saw Activate Protected App - Knowledge Base for DX 8 - Joget | COMMUNITY

but i don't understand the differences in terms of use case for both. Can anyone clarify?

      Hi,

From my understanding, The major difference on these 2 are the capabilities on the access to modify the design of the App.
      Briefly,

Protected App is depending on your App License Type

      1. Protected App -  Modifiable and User who have the platform license have access to the Design
      2. Protected Readonly App -  the design is locked and cannot be modified. User can only have access to use the app only. Only the owner of the App has access to the Design

      Hope the explanation is clear.

what's the difference between Protected App and the usual normal App we use?

Well, I suppose the logic is with the keyword license itself ?
Protected App > Have license tied to it. > Only the Licensor (License Owner)can view/edit the App Design.
Normal App > No license tied to it. > Can use/view/edit the App
