Hello,

I use Joget Version 3 – Build 220.

I would like to ask if you can give an opinion or idea on a certain issue I am facing with it. It has to do with the entries in the inbox.

My Joget setup has a single inbox for a user, and in this inbox, everything comes in, it gets messy because there's no way to differentiate the various entries - the untreated ones, the ones saved as draft to be treated later. I am wondering if there is a way to create folders in the inbox where different cases can be separated.

If you have any information about this, I would be glad to know and grateful.

Thank you very much.

  1. Hi Ugorji,

There are 2 ways of going around this.

    1. Use Datalist Inbox Userview Menu (Inbox with Form Data) to take advantage of the filtered Datalist. You can flag your form with "treated" and to only show the flagged ones in one list and the rest in the other.
    2. Make use of hash variables in your process/activity name when you design your process in Workflow Designer. This would make the Inbox a lot more meaningful as we will be seeing something like... "Approve Leave for Jack", "Approve Expenses Claim for Julia" rather than a generic "Approve Leave" and "Approve Expenses".

Hope I'm answering to your question!

    Cheers.

  2. Hello Hugo,

Thank you so much for your reply. I have been looking at the Datalist Inbox Userview Menu (Inbox with Form Data) in the documentation for a few days now, and it has occurred to me that it would be helpful in my case, but I have not been able to gain access to it. I have tried to look around the interface to find how to implement it without success. Now that you have mentioned it, can you please direct where I can find it on the interface.

I will read up the hash variables link to understand how I can employ them.

    Again, thank you very much.

  3. Hello Hugo,

Thank you. I've been doing some checks and just found that the Datalist Inbox Userview Menu (Inbox with Form Data) plugin is not available for Community Edition - only for Enterprise. This is why I couldn't find any reference to it on the software I have.
