| This article is applicable to app designers who want to distribute their Joget apps with app protection. |
Instructions
1. Exporting the App
From your Joget DX8's App Center, launch the App Composer of the App you wish to export by clicking the Pencil icon.
Click Versions if you wish to check the App version you are exporting, then click Export to export your App.
Check those you wish to export and click Export again.
A .jwa file will be downloaded to your computer.
2. Request for App Protection
There are 2 ways for you to Request for App Protection
- Requesting through Joget Support App.
- Auto generation in Joget Marketplace.
2.1 Requesting App Protection through Joget Support App
Open your web browser, navigate to our License Activation site here.
Click on Request for App Protection.

It will direct you to the Enterprise Support Page .
Since App Protection is by default for those who have active subscription for Enterprise License / Software assurance, Enterprise Support Account access should be given to the active subscriber.
Should you have not received a login, please contact your sales representative to have a login account to submit a Support Ticket.
Once you have logged in, submit a support ticket with details as below :
Fill up all the fields in "Description" using this template, attach the exported app jwa file in "Files" and submit.
Code Block title Template App ID (Mandatory) : App Title (Mandatory) : App Description : Licensed To : Protected Readonly : Yes / No Requires Activation? (Tied to system) : Yes / No
- You will receive an email containing further instructions.
2.2 Auto generation in Joget Marketplace.
Navigate to Joget Marketplace.
Go the the App that need the App protection
